What is the Nolensville Zoning Ordinance Update all about?
The Town of Nolensville, with assistance from consultant Town Planning & Urban Design Collaborative (TPUDC), has kicked off a new project: “Nolensville Zoning Ordinance Update”. The goal of this effort is to update and simplify the existing Zoning Ordinance.
Why are we updating the existing Zoning Ordinance?
The existing Zoning Ordinance has been in place since its original adoption in 1997 with minor updates and amendments. It is time for an overhaul!
The new ordinance will be a well-organized, user-friendly document that is tailored to Nolensville’s existing and desired development patterns. An updated Ordinance will help the Town achieve its goals. It will be easy to understand and provide clear guidance for decision making and approval.

Why should you be involved?
Zoning provides the rules regarding how land can be used within the Town. As we look to update the zoning, we want to engage with you in a conversation about the future of Nolensville.
Don’t know much about zoning? That’s ok! Zoning affects the entire community, and through this process, we’ll help you understand why. All of the events held as part of this process are open to the public, and are a great way to learn more AND make sure your voice is heard!
